Are you struggling to cope with the death of a loved one?

Maybe someone you love has died suddenly and it has completely blindsided you, or perhaps you were aware it was coming but that hasn’t made your grief any lighter, easier, or less complicated. You may be feeling overwhelmed by the weight of your loss, or rather, numb and disconnected from everything around you. Perhaps you’re feeling lost, struggling to process your grief, and unsure of how to move forward.

Whatever it is that you’re experiencing, you’re beginning to notice the impact of this in every part of your life:

  • Feeling overwhelming emotional pain, struggling to manage the unpredictable waves of grief that make it hard to keep up with day-to-day life

  • Withdrawing from others or feeling isolated, unsure of how to talk about your grief or afraid of being a burden

  • Grappling with a loss of identity now that your loved one is gone, and not knowing how to move forward in a life that is permanently changed

Struggling with grief and loss is incredibly overwhelming, and you don't have to figure it out alone.

Grief Counseling in Seattle can help you find some grounding.

It may feel impossible now, but you can find some relief from the intensity of your grief. You can feel understood and supported while processing your emotions. You can begin to move forward with purpose while still honoring your loved one. And I can help you get there.

Many people struggle to cope with grief and loss.

Grief is the normal and natural response to loss, but still, grief can feel overwhelming, confusing, and deeply painful. Losing a loved one and facing the reality that your life is forever changed is unbearable, especially when you're navigating it alone. We all need emotional support to cope with the pain, grapple with the hole in our lives, and somehow find ways to carry our grief and move forward.

There is, unfortunately, still stigma around grief, and an idea that at some point, you should get over it and move on with your life. Us grievers know, there is no getting over it. I don't believe there are stages of grief and I don't believe we process our grief in a linear way. Everyone's experience of loss and grief process is different. I’ll help you through your grieving process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to grief counseling comes from a place of compassion and presence: supporting you as you move through grief at your own pace, without pressure or timelines.

Grief counseling helps you:

  • process complex emotions in a safe, non-judgmental space

  • find coping strategies to tend to the emotional and physical effects

  • understand your grief and feel less alone in it

  • reconnect with meaning, purpose, and hope, so you can live fully while keeping the memory of your loved one alive

Grief Support Group offers connection, so you don't have to grieve alone.

Grief groups are a unique support resource, where you can connect and be supported by others who are also grieving the death of a loved one. Often times, we can feel isolated and alone after the death of someone we love. There might be very few places where you feel safe talking about your loss. Grief changes over time and we need people we can talk to about our grief throughout those changes. This grief support group is both educational and therapeutic processing, designed to help you feel less alone in your grief.
