Angel Thomson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing therapy in Seattle, WA for anxiety, grief, and relationships.

Compassionate Therapist in Seattle, WA

I’m Angel, and I help individuals and couples just like you: ones that have it within them to be confident and thriving again, but just need the support to get there. I help my clients find emotional balance, self-confidence, and resilience by helping them better understand themselves and one another. I believe that secure attachment to self and to others is what allows us to heal, grow, and become fully alive humans.

Many of today’s solutions for anxiety, grief, and relationship problems are focused on only managing symptoms, leading so many to feel powerless and like they’ll never find healing or lasting change. While I will help you feel stabilized, we will also do the deeper work of uncovering what is keeping you stuck and why. I know that your circumstances are unique, so every step we take is tailored to you, and always with your specific end goals in mind.

Finding A Therapist Near You Can Feel Overwhelming

And finding the right therapist you can trust and feel comfortable with is important.

I offer a 20-minute discovery call so that you can get a sense of what it's like to talk with me. During our call, you’ll have the opportunity to share what you’re looking for, ask questions about my approach, and be sure that I'm the right therapist for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer in-person therapy?

I offer online therapy only to residents of Washington State and Florida.

Do you offer psychiatry?

I do not offer psychiatry. I am a psychotherapist, not a psychiatrist. My goal is to help you reduce anxiety without taking medication. If you are interested in getting evaluated to see if anxiety medication is something you'd like to incorporate into your treatment, I can offer you referrals to a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), a psychiatrist, or a primary care doctor.

How do I get started?

1) Schedule a 20-minute Discovery Call. I will ask you some questions and you can ask me any questions to see if we'd be a good fit for working together. If we are, great! We’ll schedule your first session.

If not, no problem. I’ll refer to you to another talented therapist in my network who can help.

2) I’ll email you a link to your Client Portal where you will complete the intake paperwork before your first session.

3) A few minutes before the start of your session, simply click the link in your reminder email or through your Client Portal. It will ask you to "check in" with your name and to enable video and microphone access. I will greet you shortly after.
